Alot has been said about the unfortunate deletion of the outstanding artists who contributed to Laika's "Coraline" in their "Art of" book. Below are some of those artists with their respective blogs featuring some of the most beautiful and inspiring artwork I've ever seen. Enjoy!
Chris Applehans
Katy Wu
Shannon Tindle
Shane Prigmore
Chris Turnham
As well as these amazing artists:
Vera Brogsol
Tadahiro Uesugi
Stef Choi
Dan Krall
Jon Klassen

SO great!!!
In my opinion, Coroline broke a lot of ground. So wonderfully surreal! Once again, thanks for sharing, John.
Wow!! Great stuff.
Always amazing drawings in this blog! ;)

Absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much!
It's a shame they left so much out of the art of the book. These artists' work is phenomenal.

Beatiful work!i love this concepts.great!I just found your stuff for the first time. It's really great.
It's really sad. I followed the amazing work of mr. Prigmore, mr. Tindle and mr. Appelhans on their respective adresses when they started to show up with Coraline's pre production pieces, but when I bought the artbook, expecting to see their works there, I didn't see anything, not even a mention. And I really think that the movie would never be as superb as it is, without their works.
Also, Thanks for the other artist's links section, and of course, congratulations for the great and inspiring artwork!
Best regards, man.
