Still here...

Hi brothers and sisters. Just wanted to thank you all for all the generous comments and replies. Truly appreciate it!!! The last few weeks have been very hectic and have not had a chance to post. I apologize for the folks who've submitted checks. I will attend to them as soon as possible (hopefully as soon as this weekend). Please be patient --I will make up for the delay.

I also intend on updating my sidebar with a whole bunch of blogs, so please stay tuned.

Til then, I'll see you soon, and of course and by all means, keep drawing!

Clarity of Action

These were action "cheat sheets" I created for myself when I was working on Kim Possible. The idea was to push clarity of action through silhouette. Great crew and learned alot!!

My Sketchbook

And now time for a shameless plug. I'd like to introduce my personal sketchbook, "Bits & Pieces". It is a collection of drawings I have done within the past year.

I hope to do another book in the form of an "Art of Xochitl" book for next year. I'll keep you posted. This sketchbook can be purchased through http://www.stuartngbooks.com/ or through "House of Secrets" Comics in Burbank. They sell for $10. You can also buy them from me by check at my email - jnevarez34@charter.net. I'm not sure what the postage will be, but I anticipate it will be about $2-$3 (I'll post the information as soon as I know). Should you buy from me, I will attach a sketch as a most sincere thank you. I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to talking with you.

As a side note, I'd like to thank Patrick Morgan and his fiance Gwen for their friendship and support. He was my booth buddy at this year's ComicCon. I learned so much from him and I truly thank them both. Check out his amazing sketchbook at www.patrickmorganart.blogspot.com.

I also want to thank Steve Silver, who from a long time ago encouraged me to publish something. He's been a great friend and inspiration. Of course his work can be seen at www.stephensilver.blogspot.com .

And I'd like to thank my bud Jose Lopez, my buddy and one truly amazing kickass artist. See his work at www.desoluz.blogspot.com.

Muchas muchas thanks!!

Holy cow! I've been out on vacation a few days and when I got back, Stef (Stephane Kardos, www.stefsketches.blogspot.com/) notified me that my blog in addition to others was profiled on Cartoon Brew. I couldn't believe it. Many thanks to Amid Amidi for covering the awesome growth of animation blogs.

When I started the blog, it was done as a way to get my ass off the ground to do my personal projects. What it did was give me the opportunity to meet so many awesome folks in and out of the animation community! It's truly empowering and can't say enough how much it has helped me to get my work out.

I want to take this time to thank my wife Erin and my beautiful little girl for giving dad time late at night to do this blog! They are my life, my center and my inspiration. Many thanks to my family, who since I could remember, always encouraged me to draw and follow my dreams. I also want to thank Charles Zembillas at the Animation Academy. He's been a brother and a true friend. Thank you Charles for giving me the push to take the next step! To the many brothers and sisters out there in and out of the animation community. Your kind words of support and friendship have been truly inspirational. You guys keep me hungry and reaching. Thank you!

And for those who don't have a blog... GET ONE!!!!
