Some quick doodles

This guy just popped up. Not too happy with him, but i do love his attitude.

These are quickie exploratory studies for a personal project. Just exploring shapes, negative space, direction.

As you can tell, I haven't posted anything for some time. Work has really been hectic, but I hope to post new stuff soon. I'm currently working on some notes regarding my work process as well as trying to get some new work for my next sketchbook. The deadline is on. I figure I have about a month, maybe two tops in order to get it to the publisher in time for ComicCon'06. We'll see how it goes. Until then, get the coffee started and the pencils sharpened....

Disney Buys Pixar

WOW!!! I'm surprised just like everyone else. At first I was skeptical about the merge, but now that Catmull and Lasseter are given creative power status over animated projects, this seems to be like a real good deal, .. for EVERYONE!!!!

"Pixar President Ed Catmull will serve as President of the new Pixar and Disney animation studios, reporting to Iger and Dick Cook, Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios. In addition, Pixar Executive Vice President John Lasseter will be Chief Creative Officer of the animation studios, as well as Principal Creative Advisor at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he will provide his expertise in the design of new attractions for Disney theme parks around the world, reporting directly to Iger. Pixar Chairman and CEO Steve Jobs will be appointed to Disney's Board of Directors as a non-independent member. With the addition of Jobs, 11 of Disney's 14 directors will be independent. Both Disney and Pixar animation units will retain their current operations and locations."

Hello all!!! Still here. As you can see I haven't posted any art for some time. I'm pretty swamped with various projects and wanted to use the time to share some very kickass artists out there! I hope to post some stuff very soon. I'm also going to start something I've always wanted to do, that is show my process of design (for anyone who's interested). I really have no set structure, just a "go ahead and explore it all' kind of manner. I hope to do some trial runs soon. In the meantime, thanks to all for your kind words and encouragement. The Uber Awesome Brad Goodchild

I'd like to give a huge thank you to my friend and mentor Brad Goodchild. He was my first director who gave me my first break in the biz 9 years ago, and I am forever greatful!!!!!! He's directed for PepperAnn (my first show) as well as many other various productions. Currently he's directing for Class of the Titans up at StudioB Productions in Canada, which looks just awesome!!! He recently started a blog here http://kookalamunga.blogspot.com. Aside from being a great friend, he's probably one of the best directors I know in the business and I truly, truly hope he comes back to Disney (... if they're smart and lucky enough to get him back!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
