Some quick doodles

This guy just popped up. Not too happy with him, but i do love his attitude.

These are quickie exploratory studies for a personal project. Just exploring shapes, negative space, direction.



As you can tell, I haven't posted anything for some time. Work has really been hectic, but I hope to post new stuff soon. I'm currently working on some notes regarding my work process as well as trying to get some new work for my next sketchbook. The deadline is on. I figure I have about a month, maybe two tops in order to get it to the publisher in time for ComicCon'06. We'll see how it goes. Until then, get the coffee started and the pencils sharpened....

    Love those directional sketches, the way you work your lines so boldly, it really is amazing!

  26. love the scowling guy... And the negative space drawings were wonderful, I had the inner urge to color them and draw some characters to suit the atmosphere... Inspiring.
