Loosenin' Up

These are quick doodles to keep the hand warm. Some folks have asked if I could show my process in approaching my drawings and designs. I'm planning on doing a few series of sketches (hopefully in the next week or two, if my schedule permits) which show just that.

Right now, I'm in the middle of an allnighter. Got "GoodFellas" on the tube on HBO and I'm feeling good. What a great flick!!!!

Lovely loose drawings! I've got crunching deadlined freelance work too this month. I can't take the all nighters anymore. How do you do it?

John, you truly are the king of the all-nighter. We should get you a crown and a cape!

Great work on that top image John. You don't do much stuff in that style. You should, it's great.

good luck staying up all night. Keep the movies rollin'! Back to the Future is my all-nighter flick of choice, try it out...

John,

I’m contacting you per Jean Ann Wright’s recommendation. Jean didn’t have you email address, so I thought I’d try this route. She is currently doing consulting work with me on my animation project. I’m interested in speaking with you about the visual art work needed, which will be part of my pitch Bible. If interested please email me at: vols1984@yahoo.com Thanks!

To all the brothers and sisters out there, THANK YOU!!!! Your kind words of support and inspiration literally lift me up to reach higher, and I thank you.

St. John,
thank you soo much for all the kind words!! Great blog BTW! Let's see, if I were a ninja, I would fly and kick butt, all the while maintaining a strong sillhouette and line of action.

Serapio,
so good to hear from you. Yeah, I can't take the all-nighters either (getting old!!). My crutch: Venti americanos (4 shots of espresso running thru the veins!!)

Riabovitchev,
Thank you!! Your drawings are AWESOME. Beautiful, strong, fluid, just damn amazing!!!!!!

Patrick P-
Would love to help but have no time at all. If you'd like to chat, email me a jnevarez34@charter.net. Good luck to all!!!
